Mopane wood has a reddish colouring and unusual grain pattern, this results in a warm glow after buffing, which is pleasing to the eye. Native to the African countries of Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, & Zimbabwe, Mopane is an extremely hard wood and is most useful for making furniture, along with carving and turning.
